| SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
The participation of AKSA employees in extra-curricular activities
carries great importance for the company in terms of motivation,
creating corporate culture, company improvement and employee
self-development. The enrichment of routine work life by means
of educational programs, seminars and other shared activities
in sports, arts and culture aim to enable the employee to
improve himself/herself.
Meetings with renowned guests and field experts have been
carried out continuously since 1983 under the name "AKSA Chats."
Under the direct encouragement of AKSA's top management,
a large number of AKSA's employees are involved in voluntary
studies. These study programs fall under the umbrella of well-known
associations and foundations that are active in environmental
and cultural issues at local and national levels. For example,
close to forty [40] AKSA employees are members of TEMA [The
Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion and Reforestation]
and The Association for the Preservation of National Life.
An inter-company organisation called the "AKSA Social Activities
Team [AKSET]" is responsible for the planning, coordination
and implementation of AKSA social activities. AKSET consists
solely of voluntary employees who operate activities using
AKSET's own financial budget determined on a yearly basis.
