AKSA AKRİLİK KİMYA SANAYİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ was established in Yalova, Turkey as an AKKÖK subsidiary in 1968. In 1971, AKSA started producing acrylic fiber with an initial capacity of 5,000 tons/year. Since that time, AKSA has reached a production capacity of 250,000 tons per year. With more than thirty [30] years experience and a strong research and development program, AKSA proudly can declare that it possesses the world's largest acrylic fiber production capacity. AKSA's modern facilities possess the latest production technologies; therefore, we consistently offer high value, superior quality products and efficient customer services.

In 1977, AKSA's market evolution led the company to grow not only domestically but internationally as well. Today, AKSA is ranked among Turkey's leading economic enterprises, currently producing more than 8.25 % of the world's acrylic fiber output. Approximately twenty-five percent [25%] of AKSA's production is marketed to more than forty [40] countries; countries that receive AKSA exports include the United States, Italy, Spain and France. The plant, comprising of an area approximately four-hundred thousand square meters [400,000 m2] wide, is located in Yalova, Turkey. AKSA's business headquarters are located in Istanbul, Turkey.
